Special Collections

The Dr. Rita N. Moretti Teachers' Studio is located on the second floor of the Library. The Teachers' Studio supports the College of Education by providing reading materials and equipment that help teacher candidates create lessons and manage classrooms. Studio materials may be used or borrowed by the entire Niagara University community.

Besides housing the Children's Literature collection, the Teachers' Studio also contains the following equipment and materials:

• Puppets
• TV and DVD player
• Ellison Machine (hand operated cut-outs) with more than 200 Ellison dies
• Cutout Maker (automatically cuts letters, numbers, manipulatives, shapes and bulletin board collections)
• Art supplies

There is a small study room within the Teachers' Studio which is available on a first come, first used basis.

Recording Room

On the left side of the Teachers' Studio is our Recording Room.

A computer, microphone, Niagara University backdrop, and sound proofing are found in the room. Additional materials for podcasting, recording, or video projects can be borrowed from the Library of Things collection.
