Voluntary Self-Check Temperature Sensor Installed Near Front Entrance

Library temperature sensor

One of the symptoms of a COVID infection is a temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher. We can keep each safer by checking our temperature daily.

With this in mind, the University installed a temperature sensor near the front entrance of the Library.

Checking your temperature is voluntary. Your reading will also appear on the screen. The light on the sensor will flash red if your temperature is 100.4 degrees or higher. If that happens, please exit the building, avoid contact with others, and call either:

  • Health Services, Monday through Friday until 4pm at 716-286-8385
  • The 24-hour hotline at other times at 716-263-5782

Please note that the sensor does not know who you are. Nor does it record any images.
