A group of authors who all have NU ties have recently published a book: Informing Instruction with Vignette Analysis: Powerful Professional Growth for Middle and High School Teachers.

The book shows how to improve classroom instruction with vignette analysis, a form of professional development. It features a wide variety of vignettes, each followed by an analysis of the lesson.

NU Library has a print copy of the book. As of this writing, it is available to borrow and can be found on the "New Book" display on the main floor near the Service Desk.

Dr. Charles Gonzales received his M.S. from NU and was formerly an adjunct instructor in English & Education.

Dr. Paul Vermette was a Professor of Education at NU for over 30 years, who retired last year.

Dr. Mary Ellen Bardsley is Associate Dean of NU's Early Childhood and Childhood Education Department.

Kimberly Alexander received her B.S. (Biology) and M.S. (Education) from NU, and is currently a science teacher at Lewiston-Porter Middle School.
