Dr. Teresa Publishes Book

Dr. Carrie Teresa, assistant professor of communication and media studies, published Looking at the Stars: Black Celebrity Journalism in Jim Crow America for University of Nebraska Press.

The book explores the meaning of celebrity as expressed by black journalists writing against the backdrop of Jim Crow–era segregation.
