Vincentian Collection
In 1856, the Vincentian Fathers and Brothers founded Niagara University. "Vincentian" comes from the group's founder -- a French priest named Vincent de Paul who lived in the 16th and 17th centuries. He was canonized in 1737.

Niagara University is celebrating its sesquicentennial this year, and this is a wonderful time to highlight the Library's Vincentian Collection. This special collection consists of about 110 titles about St. Vincent de Paul, the Vincentian Order and the Sisters of Charity. In addition to books about these subjects, there are materials written by St. Vincent de Paul including translated correspondence and documents.

The Vincentian Collection is located on the first floor of the Library near the Reference Desk, and these books may be checked out.
