Niagara University Library's Rare Book Collection primarily consists
of religious books and manuscripts from the 16th through 19th centuries, as well as nine
examples of Incunabula printed before 1500 and a few earlier
manuscripts. Specifically, the collection contains about
twenty-five 16th-19th century Bibles in German, English,
Greek, Latin and Hebrew, as well as about 400 religious
books (Missals, Commentaries, works of Theology, in Latin mostly) that
represent the development of religious
thought during the same time period.
A smaller portion of the collection consists of secular titles.
