The next time you are in the Library, look for the Faculty Publications Display near the front entrance. We are currently highlighting the work of the following faculty:

Dr. James Delaney, Assistant Professor of Philosophy
Dr. Delaney joined Niagara University's Philosophy Department in 2004.  He received his Ph.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo that same year. Dr. Delaney works primarily in ethics and focuses on the history of philosophy, especially the work of Jean-Jacques Rousseau. He also specializes in biomedical ethics, with a particular emphasis on the ethics of organ donation and genetic engineering.

He has published articles in the American Catholic Philosophical Association's Annual Proceedings, The Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy, Inquiry, and For the Defense.  His first book, Rousseau and the Ethics of Virtue, was published by Continuum Press in 2006 and is featured in this display. His second book, Starting with Rousseau, is forthcoming from Continuum in 2009. 

Dr. Susan Sze, Associate Professor of Education
Dr. Susan Sze received her Ph.D. in Special Education from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Her research interests include inclusive teaching strategies, assistive technology integration, music integration, behavioral management, and life skills.

Featured in this display is her book, The Special Needs Toolbox: 300 Inclusive Strategies for Teachers. It is based on her popular speech, “Overcoming Disabilities,” and is about how success begins when we choose to overcome obstacle. Since publishing her book, Sze has spoken at conferences and workshops to over 5000 people throughout the United States, Canada, China, Japan, and Australia. She has also published ERIC documents as well as articles in Academy of Educational Leadership Journal, The Clearing House and Education.
