Who can resist browsing through a colorful coffee table book? I know I can't! Here are examples of
just a few in the Library's collection.
- Moments: Pulitzer Prize Winning Photographs edited by Hal Buell
This book is a collection of more than 200 Pulitzer Prize-winning photographs from
about the last 60 years. Each photo features the story behind it as well as technical
details such what type of camera, film and lens was used. To give readers a sense of what else was going on around the time of each photograph, there is a timeline with small photos running throughout the book.
- The National Enquirer: Thirty Years of Unforgettable Images edited by Charles Melcher
A guilty pleasure of many, this legendary publication has featured many memorable photographs
of famous (and often infamous) public figures including Elvis Presley, Madonna, members of the Royal Family, O.J. Simpson and more. Pop culture fans will love this book, which features hundreds of
photos and blurbs about the subjects. Even those who normally eschew gossip may not be able to resist
taking a look.
- National Geographic: The Photographs edited by Leah Bendavid-Val
This collection features hundreds of color photographs from this popular
magazine. The major themes represented in this book are science, land & underwater wildlife and cultures in the United States and around the world. There are also comments about the photos by the photographers who snapped them.
These three books are located on the first floor of the Library in the non-fiction section of the Recreational Reading Collection.
