Rare Book Collection

Niagara University Library's Rare Book Collection primarily consists of religious books and manuscripts from the 16th through 19th centuries, as well as nine examples of Incunabula printed before 1500 and a few earlier manuscripts. Specifically, the collection contains about 25 16th-19th century Bibles in German, English, Greek, Latin and Hebrew, as well as about 400 religious books (Missals, Commentaries, works of Theology, in Latin mostly) that represent the development of religious thought during the same time period. A smaller portion of the collection consists of secular titles.
